2021 Here We Come!
A hearty goodbye to 2020

Hey there! It’s me, Ryan (one of the writers for the CSD series) coming at you with some news in this here December letter.

Wait, it’s December already? But also oh wow it’s finally December! This either couldn’t come fast enough or it came out of nowhere, I’m not really sure because time has been kind of weird this year. You understand, right?

Latest CSD3 Updates

I’m happy to report that, since the last newsletter, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! has launched on Mac and Amazon Luna! There have also been a few patches for the console editions, which you can read all about here on the CSD subreddit!

What’s in Store for the Future?

That’s a big question but I’ll do my best to tackle it. You see, with the successful launch of CSD3 behind us, the team is already hard at work on some new games. As mentioned in the last newsletter, these are a part of the Cook, Serve, Delicious! series, though they are not going to be direct sequels. I’d love to tease you with more details, but right now all I can say is to look forward to learning more in 2021!

VGI Team Status

Through all this year we’ve been focused solely on producing and delivering an exceptional experience in Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! As a result, we haven’t taken the time to talk about how our team has been dealing with this pandemic. With 2020 soon behind us, I figured now would be as good a time as any to tell you how we’re doing during the quarantine.

The Vertigo Gaming Inc. crew has always been entirely remote, spanning multiple countries and continents. While this allowed our day-to-day processes to remain largely unchanged, it also meant that each of us has experienced very different conditions during the pandemic depending on our location. Furthermore, some of our team continue to hold employment in other positions that did work in an office before or even at times during the pandemic.

While our team has not been totally unscathed, on the whole, we’re staying healthy and doing our best to support each other during these exceptional times. I for one feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this tight-knight group of passionate, talented folks during this pandemic. I don’t know how I would have fared through the year without them.

We sincerely hope that you and your loved ones have been and continue to stay healthy and safe throughout this pandemic. We also want to thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown through all the highs and lows of this year. It’s an absolute honor to provide you with a bit of escapism through our games.
